Last October, director Malcolm D. Lee confirmed that a second installment of fan favorite film The Best Manwould be coming soon, and it looks like he’s making good on his word.
According to Shadow and Act, Universal Pictures has given the sequel a release date of November 15, 2013.
Though no plot or casting details were provided along with the date, Lee (who directed the first movie) said last year that he planned to ask all of the original cast back for a second round. That includes actors Taye Diggs, Morris Chestnut, Nia Long, Sanaa Lathan, Monica Calhoun, Terrence Howard, Melissa De Sousa, and Harold Perrineau.
When Lee announced the sequel news, the cast had just met up for a reunion dinner. Here’s to hoping they’ll get together again for the second movie.
