Diddy Wants That Simon Cowell Money Video

Sean “Diddy” Combs wasn’t interested in replacing “American Idol’s” most popular judge Simon Cowell on the Fox reality show next season – but then he found out how much the industry veteran was paid, and promptly changed his mind.

“At first when people were asking me if I was interested in the job I was like no … that’s not my style,” Diddy told George Lopez on Wednesday’s Lopez Tonight. “But once I heard what Simon makes … [I] would love the job. I’ve got six kids. If I would get the same check Simon gets … we would have a ball.” [See clip below.]

Diddy joins a slew of big names that have been tossed around since Cowell announced his departure, including Justin Timberlake, Elton John, Bret Michaels, Shania Twain, Chris Isaak, Jessica Simpson and Harry Connick, Jr.

As of yet, no replacement has been announced.
