J Records Squashes Rumors about Jamie Foxx Album

A rep for J Records is dismissing reports that Jamie Foxx’s upcoming album,”Body,” is in deep trouble following a series of delays.

The Oscar-winner was originally scheduled to release his fourth studio album this month, but the record was pushed back to June…initially. J Records just pushed it back again until late July, but the label insists that it doesn’t mean there are problems with the material.

The latest delay sparked rumors that J Records isn’t happy with the songs and has enlisted Justin Timberlake’s production company to spruce up the tracks. The label rep, however, is adamant there is no rift between Foxx and label executives.

The spokesperson tells New York Post’s Page Six: “Jamie started working on this album last November, and Justin was involved from the start. Jamie and Justin have completed three tracks. The album has been delayed to July 20, but everyone is happy with the material.”
